A pilot weekend programme for RC Alumni, family and friends

Friday 10th to Sunday 12th May 2024
Boerderij Dichtbij, Wateringen (near Delft), The Netherlands

Deepen your knowledge and transform your beliefs about your body what your body is capable of as well as learn how to care for it

The Aim

To gain confidence and a freed and renewed relationship with ourselves, through our body. The programme will help us to find what our body already knows and what it needs, helping us to overcome habits that hold us - and our body - back.

Why this programme?

Integral to the RC way of working is the mind and body connect - how they work together – or in opposition - in both conscious and subconscious ways.

Bodywork is always the first thing in the morning before the start of any programme. We know from experience that everything from a little ‘wiggle’, gruelling Pilates, graceful ‘heron’ to fluid ‘waves’, each movement can stir us up – or ground us - in different ways.

This programme is an opportunity to introduce RC alumni, their friends and family in a way that brings them into the community, on common ground, without the pressure or feeling of being ‘on the spot’ of working on themselves in deep ways as in our regular flagship programmes.

Basically, everyone’s welcome to join in, especially with their loved ones, for a fun and active weekend!

How we will work

Join us on this weekend programme starting just before lunch on Friday and finishing early evening on Sunday.

During this weekend, we will learn how to be aware of our body. We will come to know our own body from the inside-out - how we ‘hold’, strengthen and stretch it using exercises.

Individually, in groups and some work with partners: with exercises, stretching then sharing experiences of looking after our body and its story.

We will explore our body image, as seen by ourselves and by others.

A special feature are the reflective sessions – for sharing the impact of taking our body seriously, in its meaning for our lives and identity.

Built in 1900, the Stable 'het Luxe Paard' accommodation has a homely and rural interior with modern, luxury conveniences, outdoor spaces, sports facilities and animals.
